Show and Tell - Lego Duplo Chest of Drawers
Here is my show-and-tell offering. The other day you had in your quiz 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran. Well, this isn't quite an entire house, but it is a functioning piece of furniture. The draws all work properly and it can hold a fair amount of things.
When I started making this (with my bairn) from Duplo Lego, which is basically double-sized lego bricks, I really had no idea as to just how many bricks I'd need. It is a lot of Lego Duplo bricks!
I had difficulty even getting that quantity of bricks, and had to use ebay about 4 times plus around 12 visits to the Early Learning Centre, which had Duplo bricks without the extra unnecessary extras.
I wanted the entire project to be reusable so that the bricks could be used for anything else, so we didn't glue them together. To make the structure strong, I put little bits of blue-tack between each brick.
The whole thing took around 6 weeks to make. Thank you for sharing. Mark
