A quick search of the internet finds lots of videos of cats when they see cucumbers.
If you look further you will find articles saying that the cats could be thinking that the cucumber is a snake, but also that it is not very nice to frighten your cat like that.
What there is no doubt about is that cats really are startled when they see a cucumber!
