Riddle: You want to boil the perfect egg...
You want to boil a three-minute egg. You have timers of two minutes, four minutes and five minutes. How do you get the perfect egg?

This is more like a recipe than a riddle* Ed.
Once the water is boiling, turn over the two-minute timer and the five-minute timer. When the two-minute timer runs out, pop the egg in the water. When the five-minute timer runs out, take out the egg.
You don't actually need to four-minute timer, so maybe you could use that for the toaster?!
