Set up a Community Scarecrow Trail...

You could invite your neighbours or residents association if they want to join in an easy and fun trail.

To take part you could:

1. Print off a scarecrow and stick it in your window. There are some possibilities here.

2. Print off and colour in a scarecrow picture. There are some possibilities here.

3. Draw or paint a scarecrow. If you would like a large sheet of paper, you could use flip chart paper or old wallpaper.

4. Draw around yourself or your children on flip chart paper and then get them to draw and colour themselves in.

5. If you are feeling rather more adventurous, you could actually make a mini or life-sized scarecrow to put in your window or outside your house.

6. We have also had the idea that you might like to write/print out a question - general knowledge, fun, maths etc - suitable for children, so as they go round the trail or walk past the houses on their daily walk, there are some new topics to discuss on the walk.

It would be great to get as many households, of all age groups, to take part if they want to.

One person can co-ordinate and allocate a number to each house. They could even email or drop off a number to each house. You could print out a handout list, or just ask peple to note which numbers they find.

Just an idea tried by our community to make lockdown a little more interesting.
